According to Col. David Hunt and Lt. Col. Ralph Peters, earlier today US drones and French aircraft disabled a convoy carrying Qaddafi and then rebel forces were able to move in and capture Qaddafi. Peters then notes that Qaddafi who was now wounded, was dragged out by the rebel mob and beaten severely and then shot and killed. To Peters, justice was served, but you can tell that he seemed to have some reservations about how the rebels handled it. He also said there were reports of crossfire, but he said that’s really not true. The rebels just killed him.
