The state famous for rolling blackouts and gas car bans is now warning residents to cut back on charging their electric vehicles and cooling their homes this weeked because their electric grid may not be able to handle it due to higher demand because of higher temperatures.
This warning hit late last night:
California officals tell residents “The top three conservation actions are to set thermostats to 78 degrees or higher, avoid using large appliances and charging electric vehicles, and turn off unneccessary lights.”
They warn if demand gets too high, they’ll be forced to use “more drastic measures, including rotating power outages.”
This comes after the state just voted to ban cars running on gasoline by 2035:
California air regulators voted Thursday to approve stringent rules that would ban the sale of new gasoline cars by 2035 and set interim targets to phase the cars out.
The measure is a historic one in the US, and would be one of the first such bans worldwide. It has major implications for the US car market, given how large California’s economy is and that several states are expected to implement similar rules.
Their grid can’t even handle the demand for electricity now. What in the heck do these idiots expect will happen when everything is running on eletricity? Can’t charge your electric vehicles because the grid is overloaded? We suggest riding bikes or taking public transportation!
And what’s worse is that this is going to make more people flee the state and spread their blue nonsense elsewhere. It’s already happening and it’s just going to get worse.
These radical leftists are ruining the state the only way to fix it is to get fire them all and replace them with conservatives with common sense. Like that’s going to happen in this lifetime.
