Elon Musk blames activist groups for ‘massive’ drop in revenue as mass layoffs begin…

This morning Elon Musk blamed activist groups for what he called a ‘massive drop in revenue’ at Twitter.

Yesterday we reported that big companies like General Mills and Pfizer have paused their ad dollars at Twitter over concerns that Musk is allow ‘objectionable content’.

Musk says that nothing has yet changed with the content moderation and suggested that activist groups are pushing companies to cease advertising on Twitter.

“Twitter has had a massive drop in revenue, due to activist groups pressuring advertisers, even though nothing has changed with content moderation and we did everything we could to appease the activists. Extremely messed up! They’re trying to destroy free speech in America.”

This is happening while mass layoffs at the company have begun. It was reported yesterday that up to 50% of employees will be let go from the company:

Twitter’s much-talked-about layoffs under new boss Elon Musk became official Thursday — as staffers received an email alerting them to the “unfortunate” moves.

The internal email, obtained by the Washington Post, warned workers at the social media giant that the terminations would kickoff Friday morning as Musk’s takeover of the company continues to shake its workplace culture.

“In an effort to place Twitter on a healthy path, we will go through the difficult process of reducing our global workforce on Friday,” the email said.

“We recognize that this will impact a number of individuals who have made valuable contributions to Twitter, but this action is unfortunately necessary to ensure the company’s success moving forward.”

It had previously been reported that as many as 3,700 Twitter workers — half of its workforce — would be on the chopping block.

Twitter offices will be temporarily closed and badge access suspended as the firings commence, the emails said.

Twitter has been a very bloated company, as Musk has suggested in the past, and this is likely necessary to make Twitter self-sustainable and profitable.

But the garbage media is playing up the pain of the Twitter layoffs by highlighting the complaints of employees getting layed off. It’s all really just an attack on Musk because they hate that he’s taken over one of the most influential companies in the world.

But the previous owners have only themselves to blame with their heavy-handed and leftist policies silencing people for simply speaking their minds. Musk wasn’t even considering a purchase of Twitter until Twitter banned the Babylon Bee, a satire website on the right.
