Every day there’s another “news” story in the MSM of some Republican trashing Republicans, saying that whatever thing Democrats are DYING to believe are happening behind the scenes in the GOP are indeed happening.
“NEW: Veteran GOP strategist tells our MSM outlet exactly what we want to hear!” It’s as regular as the sunrise.
And when you click through, the same name comes up over and over and over again. Stuart Stevens of the Lincoln Project.
And guess what, Costas. We all know.
A veteran GOP strategist, who is close to several 2024 camps, tells me that Trump rivals smell blood. Says allies/donors of Hogan, Sununu, Cheney, Christie all see opening for their picks to make an "enough of this" case… others close to Pence, Youngkin, DeS watching, waiting.

How much does the media rely on The Lincoln Project to shore up their narratives? We already this is a group with no scruples and no integrity. They are grifters of the highest order. And as useful as they are to Democrats and far left pundits, they are 50 times as useful to the suppposedly legit MSM.
They can slap a thin veneer of having talked to someone other than Michael Moore and Nikole Hannah-Jones on any news article while still getting the exact same degree of intellectual heft and rigorous honesty and objectivity. You know: zilch.
They get Rachel Maddow quotes they can Scotch tape the words “GOP Strategist” to.
Who they are even trying to convince with this charade I couldn’t say. Nobody on the right is going to buy it, and the people on the left could not care less what a Republican has to say. It’s basically for MSM jerks to pleasure other MSM jerks in their circle.[
And if there’s one thing Rick Wilson and Stuart Stevens know a lot about it’s circles of jerks.
Not every fraudulent MSM “gop strategist” is with the Lincoln Project. Some are just sympapthizers with it, like Tim Miller or Sarah Longwell, who used to be NeverTrump “Republican” Democrats abut are now just outright Democrats who still get called GOP Strategists.
But a LOT of them are just Lincoln Project goons. Especially Stevens. So when you see anonymous “veteran GOP strategist says” quotes the odds are pretty good it’s a prefab Lincoln Project quote, usually one that will enhance their brand in some way.
The Lincoln Project media whores will give a comment to anyone on the left/MSM, and they’ll say exactly what you want to hear. It’s easy when you don’t have any personal values to speak of.
And the press? They can’t get enough.
