“Their attorney said it in his closing statement. He said, ‘we choose our rulers.’ Isn’t that telling?” That’s just one part of the statement Kari Lake made to the press after the second day im court on her challenge to how the election was conducted in Maricopa County.
It is a telling line from that lawyer, Abha Khanna. Freudian. Lake has focused on his “WE choose” part, but here’s what got me: Our RULERS?
No. We choose representatives. People, citizens, to perform the functions of government, selected by their fellow citizens. Not having “rulers”? That was kinda the whole dang point.
Democrats do NOT understand that. They absolutely believe in being ruled. And they think they should get to choose who does it, not the citizenry.
If you didn’t catch the results of that hearing, you should know that one of the most important takeaways was they admitted to the things we all knew anyway. The ballots that didn’t get processed, the turning people away, the hours and hours in lines … and it affected certain areas and not others. Guess which areas.
“We proved without a shadow of a doubt that there was malicious intent that caused disruption so great it changed the results of the election,” said Lake in her remarks.
It’s a great statement, the first of many I would assume. The audio wasn’t great in the social media version of the clip so I enhanced it and uploaded to Rumble.
Here’s the text:
I’m just going to make a quick statement. I am so incredibly proud of our amazing attorneys and staff that put this amazing case together. Historic case.
We proved without a shadow of a doubt that there was malicious intent that caused disruption so great it changed the results of the election. I’m incredibly proud of both Brian Blem and Kurt Olsen, who led up this legal team.
We provided expert testimony. We provided experts. The other side brought in activists to try to save face. They admitted that they’ve known about these ballot problems, their ballot problems.
Now they’re trying to say that it’s been going on for three elections. Our elections are a mess in this country. And I am so happy to stand up and say, no longer will we as Americans put up with this.
We demand fair, honest, transparent elections, and we will get them.
And I pray so hard for this judge. I think that he really took in all of that information. I think he listened very closely to what happened. And I am fighting for the people of Arizona, but not just for the people of Arizona. I’m fighting for the people of this country and for our future. If we don’t have honest elections where we decide who represents us, then we don’t have a country anymore.
And the defendants, their attorney said it in his closing statement. He said, we choose our rulers. Isn’t that telling? This was a selection, not an election. And we in America choose who represents us, and we will restore honest elections.
And I will never stop fighting. I will never stop up fighting. So thanks.
It’s tempting even on the right to blow off what Lake is doing here, write her off, call her a sore loser, or suggest this is a futile effort.
But the fact that this went in front of a judge, that America has video of the Democrat attorneys being vile, and the pure arrogance of the county bureaucrats, their contempt for voters, is all on the record.
Personally I hope Lake crawls all over Maricopa county’s election, the people involved, and Democrats for years. We have to have integrity in our elections. The fact that Democrats now treat that phrase as inherently a conspiracy theory is a huge problem. They can exploit this new attitude in the press for their own gain.
Wanting free and fair elections that are properly administered and have verifiable results is not a loony ask. It’s the barest function of democratic and republican government. You should want that to be a constant effort and assurance, no matter how sure you are about the most recent results. Eternal vigilance.
