A reporter caught on a hot mic yesterday claimed she was there to make DeSantis ‘uncomfortable’.
She also claimed her web manager wanted her to just run up to DeSantis as he’s leaving the stage and yell questions at him.
This hot mic exchange happened as they were waiting for DeSantis to begin the press conference.

The reporter Atyia Collins, works for First Coast News. According to Christina Pushaw, she was the one who asked about book bans in Florida, which we reported yesterday:
REPORTER: "We have seen bookshelves in schools emptied—"
DESANTIS: "Actually, you know, that video, that was a fake narrative…There is longstanding Florida law that prohibits an adult from giving a school child pornography. Don't we think that's inappropriate?" pic.twitter.com/n7d8Aj9D7P

As Pushaw noted, Collins failed to make DeSantis uncomfortable at all: “Doesn’t seem like it worked … Better luck next time”
Exactly. In fact it was another great moment for DeSantis as he destroyed another false narrative pushed by the media.
