We told you earlier today that Trump’s lawyers were trying to convince him to cancel his big news conference set for next Monday where he would refute the Georgia indictment against him.
Well they got to Trump and he just canceled the news conference:
Rather than releasing the Report on the Rigged & Stolen Georgia 2020 Presidential Election on Monday, my lawyers would prefer putting this, I believe, Irrefutable & Overwhelming evidence of Election Fraud & Irregularities in formal Legal Filings as we fight to dismiss this disgraceful Indictment by a publicity & campaign finance seeking D.A., who sadly presides over a record breaking Murder & Violent Crime area, Atlanta. Therefore, the News Conference is no longer necessary!
Of course he did it in a very Trumpian way, claiming the news conference isn’t necessary. But at least he admitted that his lawyers want to do it in ‘formal Legal Filings’.
I’m honestly a little surprised that they convinced him not to do the news conference. I wonder if they threatened to quit on him in order to win him over. That’s a big threat considering how difficult it was for him to land a good lawyer.
Either way, he did the right thing and it will hopefully benefit him in the long legal run.
