This morning, as Hurricane Idalia was making landfall, Governor DeSantis was giving a briefing on how the state was responding to the hurricane.
During the question and answer portion of the briefing a reporter asked about Trump and immediately got shut down, but not in a political way:
When asked about his thoughts on fmr. Pres. Trump, who is a resident of Florida, not commenting on #HurricaneIdalia, Gov. DeSantis says it’s “not my concern”:

What an inappropriate question by a reporter at a time like this. And also, who cares what Trump thinks about all this. He lives in South Florida, far away from where the storm is heading. If he chooses not to say anything about it, so what?
But what a great response by DeSantis to quickly interrupt and shut her down by saying “That’s not my concern. My concern is protecting the people of Florida and being ready to go…” And that’s exactly what he should have done. He’s the leader this country needs.
