BREAKING: Jim Jordan will NOT hold a third vote for speaker

Jim Jordan has decided not to hold a third vote for speaker today. Instead he is backing Patrick McHenry as the interim speaker.

Here’s the reporting from Jake Sherman:

The vote for interim speaker won’t be an easy one unless the Democrats get behind McHenry. According to Jim Banks, a lot of Republicans will oppose it:

He’s not wrong. But who do we have to thank for this? Matt Gaetz. He blew it up and how the Republican caucus is in shambles.

We’ll bring the vote for McHenry to you live as soon as it begins.
