The US has finally responded to the attack earlier today in which eight of our US troops were injured after Iranian proxy fighters launched a short-range ballistic missile at al-Asad airbase.
Below is the news from US CENTCOM:
On the morning of November 22 in Iraq, U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) forces conducted discrete, precision strikes against two facilities in Iraq. The strikes were in direct response to the attacks against U.S. and Coalition forces by Iran and Iran-backed groups, including the one in Iraq on November 21, which involved use of close-range ballistic missiles.

There were likely casualties during the strike. According to this Fox News Pentagon producer, Kataib Hezbollah militants were present when the bombs dropped:
Kataib Hezbollah militants were present, but it is unclear how many were killed in the strike. The initial evaluation of the strikes indicate the facilities were successfully destroyed, the U.S. official said.
