It’s breaking news now that Kim Cheatle, the Secret Service Director, has just resigned following yesterday’s disastrous hearing on her failures during the assassination attempt of President Trump.

UPDATE: I think the big question in people’s minds is why go through the hearing yesterday, saying she would not resign, and then suddenly she resigns this morning? I think Biden and Mayorkas had a lot to do with this. Remember, they threatened that she needed to keep quiet or she’d lose her job. And now she resigns a day after her hearing. It could be that, or it could be that Biden and Mayorkas realized just how overwhelming the distrust in Cheatle is from both sides of the aisle.
