A merchant vessel known as the Sounion has just been attacked by the Houthis and is now adrift and on fire.
According to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations, or UKMTO, the Sounion was attacked by two smaller vessels which fired unknown projectiles at the merchant ship.
The Sounion said they have lost engine power and that there is a fire onboard. They also report that the vessel is “drifting and not under command.”

Here’s the latest update from UKMTO:
I sincerely hope that the US alliance is rendering aid to the Sounion. But that’s about as far as it will go. Biden and Kamala won’t do what is truly necessary to prevent these attacks from continuing to happen, as we’ve been witnessing all year.
