Governor DeSantis just announced that the owners of the dog which was tied up on the side of the interstate have now been identified and animal cruelty charges are being pursued against them.
“You don’t just tie up a dog and have them out there for a storm. Totally unacceptable, and we’re gonna hold you accountable.”
“[We are] now pursuing animal cruelty charges against the individual.”
“We said you’d be held accountable, and you will be held accountable.”
DeSantis said the dog is currently in Tallahassee and will be renamed to “Trooper” and adopted out to responsible owners.
