It appears that FEMA under the Trump administration has begun finally placing Hurricane Helene victims in North Carolina into long-term apartments as opposed to expensive hotel rooms.
A new video posted by Matt Van Swol shows one victim’s response to finally having an apartment of her own:
🚨#BREAKING: Western North Carolina residents who have been sitting in FEMA hotels for months, are now being moved rapidly into long-term, fully furnished apartments.

WHY WAS THIS NOT DONE MONTHS AGO?!!!!!!
This was clearly, ALWAYS the right move and it's insane it has taken this long for WNC to actually receive meaningful help.
You cannot hate the Biden Administration enough…

Someone asked if there were just apartments sitting around empty. Van Swol said they were in fact:
Yes, actually they were. Some of us have been yelling about this exact issue for 4 months straight.

Someone else added this:
Grok says:
T or F – Western North Carolina residents who have been sitting in FEMA hotels for months, are now being moved rapidly into long-term, fully furnished apartments.True. Recent updates indicate that Western North Carolina residents, who have been in FEMA hotels since being displaced by Hurricane Helene, are now being transitioned into long-term, fully furnished apartments. This rapid relocation is attributed to actions taken following the recent change in administration.
These people have been suffering for so long and they are finally getting a bit of respite thanks to President Trump. It’s been down into the single digits in the Mountains of North Carolina this week and this couldn’t have come at a better time.
