CNN’s Kaitlin Collins asked Trump a very critical question about his comments in the press conference, in which he gave his own analysis of the plane crash and his own criticisms of Democrats running the FAA with DEI policies.
Collins asked “We don’t even know the names of the 67 people who were killed and you are blaming Democrats and DEI policies and air traffic control, and seemingly the member of the US military who was flying that blackhawk helicopter. Don’t you think you’re getting ahead of the investigation right now?”
Trump responded “No I don’t think so at all…” and, after answering her question, said “That’s not a very smart question.”

As he told a different reporter who asked about his DEI comments, he’s only saying this is what could be the cause, adding we don’t know yet:
