This morning, President Trump told Elon Musk he needed to up his game and be more aggressive. Here’s what he wrote:
ELON IS DOING A GREAT JOB, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE HIM GET MORE AGGRESSIVE. REMEMBER, WE HAVE A COUNTRY TO SAVE, BUT ULTIMATELY, TO MAKE GREATER THAN EVER BEFORE. MAGA!
Per those public orders, Elon Musk announced this afternoon that he will be sending an email to all federal employees wanting to know what they accomplished last week.
He says failure to respond to the email will be considered a resignation:
Consistent with President @realDonaldTrump’s instructions, all federal employees will shortly receive an email requesting to understand what they got done last week.
Failure to respond will be taken as a resignation.

This is certainly more aggressive. And I’m sure the left will be rushing to the courts to try and block this ‘resignation’ email.
But given what we’ve been told about how many federal employees slack off, that 20% do all the work, I think this will move will be quite revealing.
UPDATE: Below is the email:
This is such a good idea and even White House staffers can list all of the great things they’ve done this week, just like everyone in the Administration should do as well. https://t.co/4dieGJpUmk pic.twitter.com/xJ68qc5G3k
