President Zelenskyy just released a somewhat conciliatory statement saying that he really does want a just and lasting peace.
He thanked America and for the visit, thanking President Trump directly:

It sounds like he knows he screwed up and is trying to strike a different tone. It’s been reported that Zelenskyy and his team wanted a reset, but Trump said no.
