During his first term in office, President Trump warned Europe against purchasing Russian oil because of the dependency it would create. He even put sanctions on the companies building the new pipeline to deliver Russian oil. Biden got rid of the sanctions and aided Germany in purchasing Russian oil.
With the Ukraine war still raging, you can easily see the wisdom in his warning. They are now funding the very enemy they are spending billions to stop.
Today, President Trump called out Europe for spending more on Russian oil than on defending Ukraine:
“Europe has spent more money buying Russian Oil and Gas than they have spent on defending Ukraine —BY FAR!”
