BREAKING: President Trump asks Treasury Secretary to open negotiations with Japan

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has just announced that he’s been asked by President Trump to begin tariff negotiations with Japan.

Here’s what he said:

“Following a very constructive phone discussion with the Government of Japan, President Trump has tasked me and @USTradeRep to open negotiations to implement the President’s vision for the new Golden Age of Global Trade with Japan Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and his Cabinet.”

There are going to be some hardliners (like China), but it looks like President Trump’s plan is already working.
