President Trump was asked a few minutes ago about criticism over his Trump pope meme that they put out this weekend ahead of the conclave happening today to choose a new pope.
Trump told the reporter that it was really the ‘fake news media’ that was upset about it and that Catholics loved it. The reporter was referring to comments by Cardinal Dolan who didn’t like the meme.
Trump pointed out that it was just a joke and that ‘you have to have a little fun’, telling the reporter ‘give me a break’ when she suggested it was beneath the White House to share such a photo.
