A House Republican has flipped from a ‘no’ vote to supporting President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill, and I think his rationale is completely reasonable.
Rep. Warren Davidson from Ohio voted ‘no’ in the big House vote last week, but now he’s flipped and he told reporters why:

Davidson says Republicans gave “as strong of a fight” they could on this bill and the time has lapsed to keep working on it.
He said he “hates to reward the Swamp” but time is ticking. He believes it can pass today.
He is a fan of AI provisions in this bill though. https://t.co/ZZySa56Veb

I really do believe this is a solid position to take. He opposed it the first time on principle, but sees that this is the best they are going to get now that it’s been through the reconciliation process in the Senate, and will help get it across the finish line.
If Massie could be more like this, he wouldn’t be making so many enemies. I get that he is principled and I’m sure I agree with him on many things, but sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture and the greater good, especially when you are in a chaotic body such as Congress. You have to be willing to compromise at times like this, even though you think the bill could be much, much better.
