CNN is reporting this morning that consumer spending is up a significant amount for the month of July and that June’s consumer spending report was revised upward.

What I don’t get is that Matt Egan says the consumer spending report doesn’t tell us WHO is spending, but then he proceeds to suggest that it’s mainly rich folks or something. Maybe that’s true, but the report doesn’t tell us this and it sounds to me like CNN is inserting some of their ‘Trump only helps the rich’ garbage narrative.
