BOOM! Dems lose battle as Texas passes new redistricting map

Democrats have lost the battle against the new Texas redistricting map, as Republicans passed it this evening by a margin of 88-52.

This will be challenged in the courts, of course, and we’ll see how this plays out. But given the tremendous influx of people to the state of Texas, I hope Republicans get all five of the new seats.
