President Trump is absolutely a fighter and he’s just announced that he’s leading Republicans to take it to Democrats in the midterms by holding a Republican convention, which normally only happens in presidential elections.
He said the reason is to showcase all that they have done since the election:

I think this is a great idea. Trump wants more Republicans in the House and Senate and he’s going to the mat to get it.
