Israel says Hamas attacked them in the Rafah area of Gaza with anti-tank missiles and gunfire, and thus Israel retaliated with airstrikes.
Here’s the news via i24 News:
The IDF says Hamas operatives fired an anti-tank missile and gunfire at IDF troops in the Rafah area, in “a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement.” In response, Israeli forces have launched a series of airstrikes against Hamas’s tunnel shafts and infrastructure.
i24 News reports that Hamas responded by saying they don’t know anything about these attacks because they lost contact with those Hamas operatives months ago:
Israeli forces have carried out some 20 airstrikes in Gaza in response to Hamas’s violations. In a statement, Hamas denies any involvement in the clashes in Rafah, claiming it has lost all contact with its operatives in the area months ago.
