California Governor Gavin Newsom isn’t happy about the feds focusing on lowering crime in San Francisco and posted over the weekend to President Trump: “Nobody wants you here. You will ruin one of America’s greatest cities.”
Fast-forward to this morning, Newsom posted about this again in response to something Dan Bongino said earlier today on Fox News.
First, here’s what Bongino said:
What Bongino said was completely reasonable. But Newsom wasn’t happy and tried to make a point about why the feds don’t need to be in San Francisco to fight crime.
He wrote: “Dan Bongino’s “rising crime”,” and then posted the following screenshot from the San Francisco Chronicle:
Newsom thought he had Bongino dead to rights. But Dan totally flipped the script on him, pointing out that the lower crime rate is because Trump had the FBI focus so heavily on crime around the country, including San Francisco:

Boo ya. I love how diplomatic Bongino is being in pointing this out, not allowing his ‘queens mouth’ to get him in trouble. Even FBI Director Kash Patel retweeted this, because it’s true.
But Newsom has a hate-on for Trump and has to oppose everything he does, including lowering crime around the country. Which is exactly where Trump wants him.
