The US Senate has just voted to effectively end President Trump’s global tariffs by ending his emergency declaration that allowed him to impose the tariffs.
The bill as called “A joint resolution terminating the national emergency declared to impose global tariffs” and the vote was 51-47.
Like the other bills recently passed in the Senate that ended specific tariffs, this will undoubtedly never be taken up in the House and it would never be signed by Trump.
So it is really nothing more than a statement from four Senate Republicans who include RINOs Susan Collins, Mitch McConnell, Lisa Murkowski, and then Rand Paul, who really isn’t a RINO (I know I lumped him in last time, but I’ll be more specific this time), but a hard-headed libertarian-conservative.
