President Trump has called out the European Union repeatedly this year for supporting Russia via their exports of oil and gas, especially in light of the Russian war on Ukraine, and now the EU has finally decided to end their dependence on it.
Here’s the announcement:
According to Reuters, the EU will phase out liquified natural gas by the end of this year and the pipeline gas by next September. They will phase out all remaining Russian oil imports by the end of 2027.
