President Trump revealed he’s skipping this year’s Super Bowl and that he’s very unhappy with the NFL’s selection as the halftime show.
His reason for going isn’t the halftime show, but he calls the NFL’s decision to hire them “a terrible choice,” saying all it does is “sow hatred.”
Here’s more from the New York Post:
President Trump told The Post in an exclusive Oval Office interview that he’s skipping this year’s Super Bowl — and that he can’t stand the performers selected for the halftime show.
Trump said that he wasn’t pleased that Latin rap superstar Bad Bunny and recently announced addition Green Day, both of whom are critics of the president, were selected to entertain at the widely watched Feb. 8 NFL championship in San Francisco.
“I’m anti-them. I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible,” Trump said.
The president said, however, that the musicians aren’t his reason for skipping the game.
“It’s just too far away. I would. I’ve gotten great hands for the Super Bowl, they like me,” Trump said.
“I would go if, you know, it was a little bit shorter.”
I will watch the Super Bowl but I will NOT watch the halftime show, as I am fully in agreement with President Trump about the choice of Bad Bunny. Especially since this fool plans on wearing a dress during his performance. Absolutely disgusting.
