It’s being reported by the Wall Street Journal that the Pentagon is considering sending 10,000 ground troops to the Middle East to create more options for President Trump.

If this is true I think it’s likely only to have options for Kharg Island, considering it is very key to keeping the Strait of Hormuz open. But I have many doubts about this, other than the fact that it could just be for show in order to force Iran to copitulate.
