Whether Republican or Democrat, I think when any government shutdown is triggered, all House and Senate members (not staffers and aids) should have to go without pay until the shutdown is over. The fact that Adam Smith doesn’t seen that just shows how much better he thinks he is than all of these DHS employees who are going without pay.
