According to a new report by Amichai Stein with the Jerusalem Post, Israeli officials believe the recent attacks on the UAE are just warning shots and not a signal that Iran wants to escalate back to fighting.

Two Israeli officials told @Jerusalem_Post they assess that the Iranian strikes toward the UAE were “warning shots,” intended to demonstrate capabilities to the US.
They estimate that, for now, Iran will not escalate and will continue to act within the “rules of the game".

Interesting analysis. If this is true, it’s probably more than just a demonstration of ‘capability’, but Iran trying to bolster the hand they are playing during these negotiations.
They may also be a provocation to try and get Trump to go back to the fighting, which will increase the pressure on him from Democrats and Americans unhappy with very high gas prices, who want to see an end to this war. But if this is the case, then so far Trump hasn’t fallen for it.
