The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals just gave Mississippi a victory by vacating a lower court order forcing them to redraw their state supreme court judicial districts map based on race, in light of the Supreme Court’s VRA decision.
This opens Mississippi up to create a new congressional redistricting map:
Mississippi wants to redistrict, now that the Supreme Court has declared that racist districts are no longer legal. But it was tied up in an appeal relating to its earlier map. No more!
