BREAKING: Trump, Johnson meeting amid anti-weaponization fund logjam

It can’t be denied that this anti-weaponization fund that was announced by the DOJ, after President Trump dismissed his lawsuit agains the IRS, has created big problems with Republicans in the Senate and is starting to look like an unforced error.

Earlier today Jake Sherman reported this:

He’s now reporting that Speaker Johnson is meeting with Trump:

There was a big meeting between Acting AG Todd Blanche and Senate Republicans this weekend and Ted Cruz described it as the most intense meeting he’s seen in his time in the Senate. I don’t know what will happen, but it honestly might be better if they just get rid of the AWP altogether just to keep things moving, and maybe revisit it later.
