BREAKING – Bill Melugin calls out Gov Newsom for lying about woman registering her dog to vote in California

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin posted a story yesterday where a woman had registered her dog to vote in Newsom’s recall election and how the woman ended up being charged.

First, here’s the story:

Ted Cruz made a punny remark about the story, to which Newsom wrote:

But Melugin corrected the governor this morning, emphasizing that the system did not catch the woman, but rather she turned herself in. He also explained why Newsom is lying about all of it:

She did not “get caught”. She turned herself into authorities. Her dog’s mail in ballot was successfully counted in the statewide election to recall Gov. Newsom in 2021, but it was rejected in the 2022 federal primary election. Proof of ID or residence is not required in CA elections. But proof of residence & registration is required for first time voters in a *federal* election. Only the dog’s ballot in the *federal* election was rejected. The dog’s mail in ballot was accepted for the CA state election!

I wonder if the governor’s social media chick is gonna drop F-bombs on Melugin like she has with others because he called out Newsom’s lies.
