President Trump said in a presser that Iran should be allowed to have some ballistic missiles, countering even people who are close to him who tell him Iran shouldn’t have any.

I think the prevailing idea here is that the Iranian regime are scumbag terrorists who want to annihilate Israel off the map. Sure, it’s great ideal that they can’t have a nuke, but they can still do a lot of damage with ballistic missiles, especially was it relates to the Strait of Hormuz.
I think what’s really going on is that Trump can only push Iran so far to get what he wants, which is why he’s saying this.
