NYC Commie Mayor Mamdani is telling New Yorkers in his city to set their thermostats at nearly 80 degrees in order to keep the grid from being overloaded and going kaput.
Here’s what he said:
New York ISO just issued an early warning that we must alleviate the strain on our energy grid statewide.
Please do your part in keeping our power on by:
•Setting your AC to 78 degrees.
•Turning off lights and unplugging electronics you’re not using.

This is a great example to explain how communism works. The state simply doesn’t have enough resources for everyone to have all they want, or in this case, use their AC like they want, so they have to encourage (encourage now, force later) people to abide by strict rules so that the electric grid resources are adequately shared among all people. In this case, as in most communism cases, people have to suffer with little so that everyone can have little.
Before too long, they may end up forcing rolling blackouts on people just like the commie state of California does.
