It’s being reported by Fox News reporter Bill Melugin that ICE officers can no longer do vehicle stops during immigration enforcement operations, with certain exceptions, after two illegals were killed during vehicle stops recently in Texas and Maine.
But this isn’t permanent. DHS wants to give ICE officers more training before they can resume doing vehicle stops.
Here’s the news:
BREAKING: Per multiple federal sources to @FoxNews, ICE has been instructed to immediately cease most vehicle stops during immigration enforcement operations nationwide, except for operations targeting the most egregious criminal aliens. This comes after two people were killed by ICE in shootings in TX and ME in the last week in incidents that began as vehicle stops. DHS alleges one of those incidents was a ramming attempt.
I’m told this will be temporary until ICE officers receive new training on vehicle stops.
The policy change will have significant impacts as many of ICE’s arrests begin as vehicle stops when they find and follow a target, as we’ve witnessed on multiple embeds.
More to come as we get it.

Both illegals appeared to be trying to use their vehicles as weapons against ICE officers. If they are that stupid, then I say go ahead and give them the Darwin award because it’s only going to end one way.
I’m all for better training, but I feel like this is an overreaction to the left putting forth a false narrative that ICE is to blame for these deaths.
