Democrat strategist James Carville said today that Democrats need to stop fighting a national voter ID law and just to cave on it already.

Here’s what he said:

He’s not talking about the SAVE America Act, but he’s right that’s it makes Democrats look bad to fight something like this. What we need is the full SAVE America Act, but a national voter ID law would be a good start.
