President Obama loves to brush off the old ‘opportunity for everyone/make it if you try” chestnut periodically, mainly to make sure we remember that he’s laughing at us. Year after year, the President stands up and laments how Americans are suffering with low wages, no jobs, a bad economy, and inequality. Year after year, he makes feel good overtures promising to turn it all around. This time, THIS TIME, though, he is super cereal.
If there is any person out there who can listen to this unending circle of nothingness and believe Obama has any intention or ability whatsoever to lead America in a positive direction, then bring on the sweet meteor of death. You’ve got to be willfully stupid to swallow these platitudes at this point.
Fortunately, people are increasingly not willfully blind. And wherever that may eventually lead, it is in itself, a good thing.
