Broomfield County, Colorado, in a nod to ridiculous enviro-hysteria, held a vote recently on Question 300, which would impose a 5-year ban on fracking, and fracked the results up good.
The Secretary of State released a scathing report saying Broomfield didn’t properly update voter residential addresses and issued ballots at the same place people could drop-off their ballots – a recipe for disaster. The report also said Broomfield counted ineligible ballots, but rejected eligible ballots. Calling the election a mess would be an understatement.
Now, Broomfield has discovered a mystery ballot box. That would be cause for alarm itself, but it gets worse. The box contains 75 ballots, some of which have been marked “spoiled” and others that are sealed replacement ballots. Nobody seems to know who wrote “spoiled” on these ballots or exactly where the replacement ballots came from because a replacement ballot cannot be issued unless the original is surrendered. One thing we do know is that those original ballots were voted, making replacement ballots unnecessary and suspicious.
Note that this latest problem comes after two recounts that already took place. There’s an easy solution to this mess, thoough. If it ain’t broke, don’t try to fix it. A fracking ban is an absurd, ludicrous idea that effectively bans all forms of drilling. Fear of fracking is fueled by fake experts and phony films designed to scare you in the name of the ever more hyperbolic and dangerous environmental left. Don’t be fooled.
