Twitter Reacts To Fort Hood Shooting

As the horrible news of a shooting at Fort Hood develops, everyone from Senators and Congressmen to concerned citizens have added their thoughts and prayers on Twitter. Here are a few samples.

And some that really warrant a facepalm.

There are too many examples to post the way the apparently left-leaning on Twitter absolutely flocked to the idea of work place violence or “soldier on soldier” violence, as if it being a solder would negate terrorism.

There are equally too many example to post of seemingly conservative-minded folks suspecting Islamic terror immediately upon hearing about the shooting.

Of course, considering the first Fort Hood shooter’s motivations, and despite mealy mouthed workplace violence garbage talk from our illustrious democrat leaders, I’d say the conservative-minded have a better leg to stand on.

Between folks gunning for control, folks gunning for folks gunning for gun control, and wars about which side is unfairly speculating about the shooter’s motivations, as with every major tragedy in America, Twitter immediately moves from sorrow or shock to picking sides.

Maybe we should all instead take a second to think about what this person simply and ably put into words:
