On last night’s Real Time with Bill Maher, guest Charles Murray spoke a plain truth about the Second Amendment that gun control nuts can’t seem to grasp. Murray finally gets to speak over a minute into the below clip.

Says the libertarian commentator:
If by some miracle that change were made in that Amendment, it would be the biggest unintended consequence in the history of liberalism. You know what’s going to happen? Every red state and a whole bunch of blue states, too. The state legislatures will create militias. And guess what? There are going to be a whole lot of people who want to be in those in those militias.
Yep.
The completely ignorant interruption by a liberal panelist about the National Guard is so inane and pointless it is barely worth comment. The National Guard won’t count or matter pal.
What is most telling is how admitted gun owner and gun hypocrite Bill Maher sets up the point. “It’s about militias, not militias” he says. In other words not organized private citizens but government military troops. State militias, not Bundy militias. In other other words, he is advocating the total banishment of arms as owned by private citizens.
Well we private citizens have proven time and again, and we will in the future, you can’t take away our guns. The abolitionists are just going to have to adjust their thinking.
This is America. We own guns. Get used to it.
