Tornadoes and severe storms struck in America’s heartland today, claiming lives and causing destruction. Among the many hard-hit tows was long-suffering Joplin, Missouri. Here is a report from Kansas City about the outbreak. There is some stunning footage of the tornadoes in motion partway through the clip.
This report is from a Rhode Island station but has some good info.
Here is a youtube video of one of today’s Joplin tornadoes, seen from a distance. Warning, the siren is VERY loud.
This is raw footage of some of the aftermath in Baxter Springs, Kansas, about an hour away from Joplin.
This is amazing video of the damage as seen by a drone!
