A new 2024 poll by NBC News today suggests that Trump will lose to Biden in a head to head matchup if Trump were to win the Republican nomination.
The chart below shows how Trump would fair against Biden, verus how DeSantis and the generic ballot fair against Biden. It also shows congressional preference.
It is broken down to also show the contests in 2020 Trump states, swing states and Biden states.
In the contests DeSantis fairs better against Biden than does Trump.
Now of course this is looking at the future from today’s perspective and this could change in the future.
Here’s the lowdown on the poll: The NBC News poll was conducted June 16-20, and included 1,000 registered voters — 831 of whom were reached by cellphone — and has an overall margin of error of plus-minus 3.1 percentage points.
