Mark Levin called into Fox News today to remember Rush Limbaugh, calling him a ‘tremendous patriot’ who would ‘help anybody’ who needed it:
Levin honored Rush with these great words:
This is a tremendously sad day for those who love this country and don’t believe in its fundamental transformation. This is a tremendously sad day for those who salute the flag and embrace the military and the law enforcement.
This is a tremendously sad day because we’ve lost Thomas Paine. We’ve lost a voice like no other and like there will never be again. And particularly at a time when we need a voice like his.
Just listening to Levin talk about Rush gives me one of those lumps in my throat. Levin has a perspective like no other when it comes to Rush, because he’s known him for 25 years. He even discussed how Rush helped him out after he had a heart attack a long time ago.
I know we’ve all got stories about how Rush made us feel when we first heard him on the radio. He was singly responsible for so many coming to conservativism. He was truly a living legend and his passing will be felt strongly by many for months to come.
