Americans are pretty polite, all things considered. Sure, people are jerks online, but I reckon if you go out and about you find the majority of people around here are polite to one another. So it’s no surprise that they respond better to euphemisms and bland descriptions when asked to describe another person.
But we ALL know what this poll is asking, and what people are answering. Poor ABC News does, too, but they really tried hard to soften the blow.

The MAJORITY say he’s not mentally sharp. The MAJORITY say he can’t be trusted in a crisis. The MAJORITY say he isn’t a strong leader. That’s not how they phrased it, but that’s WHAT IT SAYS.
You can tell how devastating it is by the hilarious desperation of these replies.
Captain Dementia has messed up too many times and we can all see it. It doesn’t require manipulation or deceit. All you have to do is put him on a stage and let him talk.
