Today ABC News wrote a headline about the Buffalo Bills star linebacker Von Miller who is being accused of assaulting his girlfriend.
The girlfriend happens to be pregnant and this is how ABC News framed it:

A “pregnant person”?? Don’t they know that only women can get preggo?
To be fair, it’s been carried like this in other news articles because the source, ABC local affiliate WFAA wrote “Dallas police officials confirmed that a warrant for a charge of assaulting a pregnant person has been issued for Miller.” But even WFAA put ‘girlfriend in the title’ and not ‘pregnant person’.
The mocking came quick:
