AG Barr says they’ve found a way to put citizenship question on 2020 Census

The DOJ has found a way to put the citizenship question on the 2020 Census, according to AG Bill Barr:

POST AND COURIER – In a visit to South Carolina today, U.S. Attorney General William Barr said to expect the administration will present a legal path work-around that will allow a question on citizenship to be added to the 2020 Census.

Speaking to reporters after visiting a federal prison, Barr said “I think over the next day or two you’ll see what approach we’re taking and I think it does provide a pathway for getting the question on the Census.”

He did not provide immediate details.

Barr said he has been “in constant discussions with the president” since the High Court’s decision came down, discussing options.

It was also mentioned over the weekend that a new legal team had been appointed by the DOJ to take the reins on this issue.

I guess we’ll have to wait to find out how they intend to do this, but I’ve no doubt there will be an immediate lawsuit filed to prevent it from happening.

But Barr sounds pretty confident, so maybe it will still happen. It certainly should…
