UPDATE: This just came out from Disaster Operations in Keyna and it’s horrible news:

I’m sure most if not all of the dead are Christians. How horrible. This is the true face of Islam.
UPDATE: According to Sky News the death toll is now at 70:
Hostages have been taken by masked terrorists who have killed at least 70 people after storming a university in eastern Kenya, the country’s interior minister said.
Two police officers are among the dead following heavy gunfire and explosions in a campus building at Garissa University.
At least 79 others have been wounded.
This is not the news I wanted to wake up to this morning. Another Islamo-Nazi group, trying to make
Allah Satan proud, have gone on a Christian killing spree this morning, going door to door at a Kenyan university looking for Christians to kill. And they admit they did it because this university was built on Muslim land by non-Muslims:
FOX NEWS – Al-Shabaab says they are “holding many Christians alive” after claiming responsibility for an attack at Garissa University in eastern Kenya Thursday that left at least 15 people dead, dozens more injured and hundreds of students unaccounted for.
Kenya’s security forces are now trying to dislodge the gunmen from at least one dorm at the university.
“There are many dead bodies of Christians inside the building,” Al-Shabaab spokesman Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab told Sky News. “We are also holding many Christians alive. Fighting still goes on inside the college.”
Collins Wetangula, the vice chairman of the student union, said when the gunmen arrived at his dormitory he could hear them opening doors and asking if the people who had hidden inside whether they were Muslims or Christians.
“If you were a Christian you were shot on the spot,” he said. “With each blast of the gun I thought I was going to die.”
The gunmen started to shoot rapidly and it was as if there was an exchange of fire, he said.
Michael Bwana, a 20-year-old student who fled the attack, said he and other survivors have been trying to call their trapped friends but their phones are switched off. Either the students turned off their phones for their own safety or the gunmen have seized the handsets, he said.
“Most of the people still inside there are girls,” Bwana said, referring to the student dormitory in which gunmen are believed to be holding an unknown number of students.
A spokesman for the terror group told the BBC that it attacked the school because “it’s on Muslim land colonized by non-Muslims.”
The spokesman also said the gunmen had separated non-Muslims from Muslims and had freed 15 of the latter group.
Here’s the latest from Sky News on the killed, wounded, and those still unaccounted for:
SKY NEWS – An “unknown number of student hostages” have been taken by masked terrorists who have killed at least 15 people after storming a university in eastern Kenya.
At least 65 others have been wounded.
Somalia’s al Shabaab militant group has claimed responsibility.
“We sorted people out and released the Muslims,” said spokesman Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab.
“There are many dead bodies of Christians inside the building. We are also holding many Christians alive. Fighting still goes on inside the college.”
The Red Cross counted 50 students that had been safely freed, while the interior ministry said 280 of 815 students had been accounted for.
This appears to be a hostage situation so I’m not sure how accurate these numbers are at the current time. I’ll update as soon as I get new information.
